Wrestling fans loving ridiculous Johnny Knoxville-Sami Zayn match at WrestleMania 38

Wrestling fans could not help but share their thoughts about the absurd Anything Goes match between Jackass star Johnny Knoxville and Sami Zayn at WrestleMania 38.

There was no shortage of star power at WWE WrestleMania 38. On Night 1, Logan Paul earned his first professional wrestling win by teaming with The Miz to defeat Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio. But there was more to come for Night 2, and it included Jackass Forever star Johnny Knoxville.

On the third match of the card, Knoxville took on rival Sami Zayn in an Anything Goes match. For those expecting it to be completely absurd and filled with Knoxville’s fellow Jackass stars, you were correct!

In the end, it was Knoxville who picked up the win over Zayn after the latter got pinned by a giant mousetrap. Yes, you read that correctly.

Wrestling fans share thoughts on ridiculous Johnny Knoxville-Sami Zayn match at WrestleMania 38

Wrestling fans and media shared their thoughts on the Knoxville-Zayn match that took place inside AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys.

Zayn had control of the early goings of the match, hitting Knoxville in the back with a crutch and even suplexing him through a table. But then, Zayn lost attention when Knoxville’s Jackass co-stars intervened.

First, Chris Pontius entered the ring and distracted Zayn via his patented “Party Boy” strip-and-dance act (this is not a typo) before getting attacked. Then, Wee Man emerged from underneath the ring and attacked Zayn with punches before bodyslamming him.

Knoxville got the upper hand, hitting Zayn with a bowling ball. Zayn ran away at ringside, only to get slapped by a giant hand. Knoxville then threw Zayn through a table covered in mousetraps. Zayn was then hit with a taser by Knoxville and pinned with the aforementioned gigantic mousetrap to give Knoxville his first professional wrestling victory.

This may go down as one of the most ridiculous matches in WrestleMania history, and we expected nothing less entering the weekend.
