A refrigerator is one of the most essential household appliances. Whether you store food or drinks, fresh produce or cosmetics – fridges can surely come in handy. However, what would you do if you noticed that the contents of your fridge were slowly disappearing? A woman recently took to Reddit to share her experience about a shared fridge where her food that constantly went missing. The post was shared by user u/Not_entirely_sure__ and has received 17k upvotes already. She narrated the entire ordeal of how she noticed her food was missing, and how she installed a fridge camera to nab the guilty party. Take a look:

The woman revealed that she lives in a house with three other girls. They have a shared fridge where they had a shelf each for their food and drinks. However, she noticed that stuff from her shelf of the fridge constantly kept disappearing. “I see multiple times a week that a large portion of my food and milk is gone. It’s unbelievably frustrating, and also very time- consuming and expensive having to buy/cook new food,” she explained in her post.
On the advice of a friend, she decided to install a fridge camera to find out who was stealing her food. She had suspected her flatmate, Kate, of being the thief but could not rake up any proof to support her accusation. The fridge camera revealed in a week’s time that it was, in fact, Kate who was sneakily stealing supplies from the fridge. Kate instead countered the argument saying that it was wrong and ‘invasive’ to install a camera in the home without the knowledge of everyone involved.
Reddit users debated in the comments section whether or not the fridge camera was justified. Some said that it was the only way that the flatmate could be caught stealing the food. Others said that maybe the woman could have taken the other roommates into confidence about the camera.
