Will Ranveer Singh replace Ranbir Kapoor in Kishore Kumar biopic? | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Earlier this year, Ranbir Kapoor had confirmed that he is working on Kishore Kumar biopic since the past 11 years. However he was unsure about when the film would be made.
Despite this admission, Ranbir had said in a recent interview that he wants to take a break after the release of ‘Animal’ in August, to understand where the he stands, where the film industry stands after the huge change of the pandemic. Looks like this statement of Ranbir has left the makers of Kishore Kumar biopic looking for a casting change. According to a news portal, the makers are planning to approach Ranveer Singh for the movie. But filmmaker Anurag Basu is still keen on reuniting with Ranbir Kapoor. The final casting call on this project will be taken post August, as the producers reportedly want Kishore Kumar biopic to go on floors by the end of 2023.
Speaking about this ambitious project, Ranbir had previously said, “Main 11 saal se Kishore Kumar ke biopic pe kaam karraha hoon (I have been working on Kishore Kumar’s biopic for 11 years). We have been writing that with Anurag Basu and I’m hoping that it’s gonna be my next biopic. But maine abhi tak dada k upar jo biopic banrahi hai uske baare mein kuch suna nahi hai (But so far I haven’t heard anything about the biopic being made on dada). So, I don’t know.”
