Will Deepika Padukone skip the launch of Project K at San Diego Comic-Con? Here’s what we know… | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

The makers of the Deepika Padukone, Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan starrer, which has been tentatively titled Project K, are planning a grand launch of the movie at San Diego Comic-Con.
While Kamal Haasan, Prabhas and Rana Daggubatilanded in the US ahead of the grand event, reports are rife that Deepika might give it a miss. According to a report in IndiaToday.in, the actress will be missing out on the launch owing to the ongoing actors’ strike in Hollywood. The SAG-AFTRA (Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists) have joined Writers Guild of America members to protest against the labour laws and Deepika is a part of SAG-AFTRA.

The report also added that according to the union heading the SAG-AFTRA protest, actors who are a member of the committee are not allowed to promote or offer publicity support for any event. So Deepika will not be there to promote her film in San Diego Comic-Con.

The makers recently dropped the first look of the actress from the film. The actress is seen sporting a fierce look in the poster of her Telugu debut film. The look received mixed response from her fans.
This is the first time Deepika and Prabhas will be coming together for a project and is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated projects in the industry.
Apart from this, Deepika will be seen in Siddharth Anand’s ‘Fighter’ where she will be sharing the screen space with Hrithik Roshan. The film also stars Anil Kapoor and Karan Singh Grover in key roles. The film is slated to hit the theatres in January 2024.
