Will Deepika Padukone feature in Meghan Markle’s new podcast? Fans seem to think so – WATCH – Times of India

A teaser clip of Meghan Markle’s new podcast features voice clips of her upcoming guests and it seemingly includes Deepika Padukone as well.

Meghan Markle is all set to deconstruct the history of societal stereotypes about women in her latest podcast ‘Archetypes’.

As revealed in previous news reports, Markle will speak at length about the double standards women face in society. She will be in conversation with Serena Williams and Mariah Carey among many other famous names for the weekly podcast. One among them, is believed to be Bollywood superstar Deepika Padukone.

After repeatedly watching the teaser clip, Deepika fans are convinced she will feature as one of the guests on the audio show. Taking to Twitter, fans shared the clip that had them convinced that it was Padukone who can be heard saying, “Sensitive and emotional.”

Although it is yet to be confirmed if Deepika is infact a part of the series, it comes as a pleasent surprise that she features as one of the guests in the series that is said to have approximately 12 parts. It would be interesting to hear what is in store from the upcoming podcast.

Both Deepika and Meghan have been advocates for the cause of mental health. Meghan’s husband, Prince Harry has also been an advocate for the cause and even launched his own app early this year. The Royal, who served his time in the army, launched the app that offers online coaching and mental health services.

Deepika, on the other hand, launched her foundation that creates awareness about mental health.

It is a known fact that Meghan is good friends with another Bollywood actress – Priyanka Chopra – who she even invited to her wedding. Could PeeCee also join in for the pod cast? Guess we will have to wait to find out.

Meanwhile, the podcast series will have Markle having “uncensored conversations” with her guests, including historians and experts, to uncover the origin of stereotypes about women and how they shape narratives in the culture.

‘Archetypes’ will delve into “how we talk about women: the words that raise our girls, and how the media reflects women back to us. But where do these stereotypes come from? And how do they keep showing up in defining our lives?,” Markle says in the trailer.
