When Neena Gupta shared her scary casting couch experience: ‘My blood froze’ | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Neena Gupta, who has successfully created a name for herself in the industry, has never shied away from speaking her mind and sharing her experiences with her fans.
The actress has also released her autobiography where she has shared many experiences and recalled incidents that she has faced in the entertainment industry. In one of the chapters, she spoke about her casting couch experience with a producer in Bollywood.

Neena recalled receiving a call from the producer, who worked in the South Indian film industry, asking her to see him. She finished her performance at the Prithvi Theatre in Mumbai’s Juhu, and because the hotel was close by, she made the decision to go see the producer. Although her basic instinct told her to not go upstairs and instead ask him to come down to the lobby, she reached there anyhow out of fear of losing out on an opportunity.

She said that after a lot of discussion and talking about others, the producer finally talked about the part he was offering her. After his narration, she started to leave when suddenly the producer asked her, ‘Aren’t you going to spend the night here?’ The actress shared that she felt as though someone just poured a bucket of ice water on her head and her blood froze. She added that she just ran out of there.
