Baylor boasts the best offense in the country, and with some better health are starting to play better on defense as well.
The Bears are one of the hottest teams in the country, winners of nine of their last 10 games after an 0-3 start in Big 12 play. The team is getting healthier and destroying teams with their array of ball handlers. Can the team win with margin against a West Virginia team that lost by 34 at Texas over the weekend?

Baylor’s offense is No. 1 in the country per KenPom, but the defense is starting to show it’s upside with the return of Jonathan Tchamwa Tchatchoua from injury that cost him the end of last season and all but the past three games this season.
The Bears have allowed no more than 72 points in their last three games and are fresh off a road win at TCU. Now, they return home to face a West Virginia team they have already beaten this season and should be able to handle once again.
In the first meeting, the Bears allowed the Mountaineers to score on only 41% of their two-point tries, which has been the concern for the team this season. However, with JTT back from injury, the team’s interior defense should take a significant step forward.
West Virginia is incredibly reliant on crashing the glass and getting to the free throw line, top two in Big 12 play in those categories, but Baylor shuts that down for opponents, top three in limiting second chances and stopping the opposition from getting to the line.
West Virginia’s defense is going to struggle to turnover the veteran guards of Adam Flagler and LJ Cryer and also keep pace with the shot making from freshman wing Keyonte George.
This is setting up for a Baylor blowout.
