Bhatt acknowledges that each generation perceives films differently, and as time progresses, cinema itself evolves. She draws from her personal experience, mentioning, “I watched a horror film during the COVID-19 pandemic, and I noticed a perfect balance between horror elements and a captivating narrative filled with emotion. Anything that scares the viewer is horror. Whether it is a creature or an alien. It’s scary when the situation in a film poses a threat to the character’s life.”
A revelation for Krishna Bhatt came when she watched ‘The Exorcist’ series, which is based on the renowned film franchise. It made her realize that horror and emotion can coexist within a single film, proving that the genre is not limited to jump scares and terrifying creatures. Krishna further states, “It’s good that cinema is growing and we’re experimenting with different types of horror.”
During the event, Mahesh Bhatt, also shared his thoughts on the subject. He mentioned that his collaborator, Vikram Bhatt (Krishna’s father), constantly emphasized the audience’s desire for exciting content when they go to watch horror films. Thanks to accessible technology, the talent of today can create spectacles previously only achievable with stars. By combining technical advancements with relatable and earthy horror stories, they aim to offer audiences a thrilling experience while maintaining a level of familiarity that resonates with common viewers.
