‘Veere Di Wedding 2’ will happen, the film is expected to go on floors next year | Hindi Movie News – Times of India
The idea of the second installment has been locked as per a report in Pinkvilla. The ball has already set rolling for the sequel and it’s definitely happening.
The concept of the film has been locked and the script is being written at the moment. The final draft is expected to lock in the coming months. Once that is done, the casting and other logistics will be considered. The makers are expecting to take the film on floors next year. ‘Veere Di Wedding’ was directed byShashanka Ghosh.
At the moment, producer Rhea Kapoor is busy with ‘The Crew’ which is another major casting coup pulled off. The film stars Kareena with Tabu and Kriti Sanon. The film revolves around the life of these three women in the airline industry. ‘The Crew’ is produced by Ektaa Kapoor along with Rhea and is directed by Rajesh Krishnan.
A major chunk of the shoot has been wrapped up earlier, post which at the moment, Kareena is on a holiday with family. Another schedule is set to begin soon. As far as ‘Veere Di Wedding 2’ is concerned, while the cast hasn’t been locked yet, the audience hopes that the same cast is repeated. At the moment, Sonam is in London with her husband post the birth of their baby boy. The actress was last seen in ‘Blind’ which was shot before she was pregnant.
Sonam had opened up in an interview that she’s not in a hurry to get back to work and will take her time. Meanwhile, Swara is also expecting a baby soon.
