UIDAI: UIDAI’s rolls out new Aadhaar services on its toll-free number: Here’s the list – Times of India

Indian citizens can now experience new services built on IVRS by Unique Identification Authority Of India (UIDAI). For those unaware, UIDAI is the statutory authority established under the provisions of Aadhaar act 2016 by the government of India under the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (Meity). The nodal Aadhaar issuing authority has a toll-free number that offers a range of services. UIDAI’s valid toll free number is 1947. The authority introduced it in the year 2016. The toll-free number is available 24/7.
Earlier this year, UIDAI rolled out a range of new services on this toll free number. These include:
• Know your Aadhaar Enrolment/Update status
• Know your Aadhaar PVC Card status
• Know your Aadhaar Complaint status
• Locate Aadhaar Enrolment Centre
• Get Information about Aadhaar and related services through SMS
“Experience new services built on #IVRS by UIDAI. Residents can call the UIDAI toll-free number 1947, 24×7 to find out their Aadhaar enrollment or update status, PVC card status or to receive information via SMS.” tweeted UIDAI.
Meet the chatbot Aadhaar Mitra
In November 2022, UIDAI also launched its new artificial intelligence and machine learning-based chatbot ‘Aadhaar Mitra.’ Aadhaar Mitra chatbot has been launched to help people get answers to their Aadhaar card-related queries. Among other things, residents can file a complaint and check the status of the complaint using the Aadhaar Mitra chatbot. UIDAI also shared a QR code that residents can scan to access the Aadhaar Mitra chatbot. However, if someone is unable to scan the QR code, they can also visit the official website of UIDAI and access the same.
