Twitter may soon give you control of who can mention your handle – Times of India

Twitter is said to be working on a new feature which will enable users to control who can mention them in a tweet. The micro blogging platform lets users tag and address any public account by ‘@’ with the username in their tweets and replies on the platform. But now an online report suggests that the platform is working on a feature which will give power to the users to control who can mention their account on Twitter.
According to the screenshots shared by app researcher and engineer Jane Manchun Wong, Twitter will soon allow users to block mentions completely. The Verge also reported that Twitter privacy designer Dominic Camozzi also confirmed the same feature in a tweet. However, the tweet was later deleted.

This upcoming feature will be liked by many as it will give some privacy to public accounts on the platform and it also give them the choice to limit who can tag them. Apart from this, the upcoming feature will also cut down on the lot of online bullying and harassment on the platform.

Twitter introduced the Edit button
Twitter recently added the much-awaited edit tweet button to the platform. Presently, available for Twitter Blue subscribers, the feature is presently available in the US, Canada, New Zealand and Australia.
The ‘Edit Button’ will allow users to fix typos, add missed tags, and more. Users will be allowed to edit the tweets a few times in a 30-minute time frame after they are published. Twitter also says that it will be paying close attention to how the feature impacts the way people read, write, and engage with tweets.
