Tom Brady reveals he hopes son Jack follows in his footsteps at Michigan

Legendary quarterback Tom Brady sure seems to hope that his son will be able to follow in his footsteps and play for the Michigan Wolverines.

For the first time in a long time, the Michigan Wolverines found a way to beat the Ohio State Buckeyes. When recalling the impressive win over the Buckeyes, former Michigan quarterback Tom Brady started getting a little distracted by the possibility of his son one day following in his footsteps.

While celebrating Michigan’s big win over Ohio State and discussing it on his podcast Let’s Go! with Tom Brady, Larry Fitzgerald and Jim Gray, Brady mentioned that he expressed how he hopes his son, Jack, will one day get the opportunity to be the starting quarterback for the Wolverines.

“I had a little future Wolverine, my son Jack, sitting on the bed with me. As I was jumping around, and we were wrestling on the bed, I said, ‘that’s where you’re going to be. You’re going to be in the Big House someday! You’re going to be the starting quarterback for Michigan,’” Brady said.

Michigan football: Former Wolverines quarterback Tom Brady hopes his son will

It’s one thing to have a legendary athlete like Brady as your father. It’s another for him to proclaim that you’ll one day follow in his footsteps and be the quarterback for a team like Michigan.

But, of course, it shouldn’t be shocking that a father has high hopes for what his children can accomplish as they grow up. And with everything that was going on with The Game, it’s understandable that Brady would get a little carried away with his emotions.

And so that’s where Brady’s wife, Gisele Bündchen, apparently comes in to help bring things down a notch.

“My wife was like, ‘just let him be what he wants to be, for God’s sakes!’” Brady explained while laughing.
