Tinashe Embraced Color For Her First Trip to Milan

As soon as you receive an invite to a fashion show, you ask yourself the question, “what should I wear?” For the singer Tinashe, the answer was somewhat simple. For Etro’s fall 2022 show, she had to wear color. “Etro is all about colors and prints, while normally my uniform is all black. It was fun to explore the Etro universe,” she told Vogue after the event. Thanks to the warm weather, she was able to wear an intricately patterned red, yellow, and purple dress from the label’s spring 2022 collection (look 14, to be precise). The flowing material captured Veronica Etro’s free-spirited vision, while the midriff cutout and halter neckline made the dress popstar ready.

It’s true that the singer typically prefers a darker aesthetic. You’re more likely to find her dressed in latex and leather to promote her latest project than a dress inspired by ’70s meditation and ’90s London nightclubs (as her Etro attire was). But she has a chameleonic quality to her as well. With beachy waves by Andrea Soriga and a fresh makeup look by Luca Cianciolo, she looked ready to vacation on Lake Como.

The experience was made extra special as it was her first time in Milan. Her favorite part, aside from the shows, has been “of course the pasta! The first night I was lucky enough to get a table at Bice. I’m actually staying here for a few more days so I hope to explore more of the city!” Below, see how her ethereal look for the Etro show came together.
