The Best Beauty Instagrams: Elle Fanning, Rosalía, and More

This week’s most noteworthy beauty moments—as seen on Instagram—were all down to stylized details. For Suki Waterhouse, this dictate translated to not one look, but two: First, a graphic wing of smudgy onyx, that paired with a parted fringe and pink pout, and second, an eye-catching carmine lip furthered by rounded bohemian bangs styled at full capacity. Rosalía’s look was all down to the tousled finish that comes with a good old-fashioned air dry, while Georgia May Jagger went red, the hue coloring lips, nails, and lengths (at least in part) alike.

Elsewhere, Adut Akech championed flawless skin and box braids;  Halle Bailey donned regal braids wrapped in coils for extra texture; and Isamaya Ffrench’s finger waves (the work of hairstylist Claire Moore) framed a preternaturally glazed complexion, the look serving as a tease for Ffrench’s forthcoming beauty line. 

But Elle Fanning’s approach was all down to one of her main sources of aesthetic inspiration. The actress (unconsciously) marked Marilyn Monroe’s birthday with a waved wig of abbreviated blonde, her lips and cheeks pressed in a brickish red, proving that even the most classic of notes can skew new.
