The A-lister posed for a photo with one ecstatic Woolworths employee while stopping in for some groceries on Friday

Hollywood hunk Liam Hemsworth has paid a very welcome visit to a NSW town’s Woolworths as he and fellow Aussie royalty Russell Crowe get to work shooting a big budget movie.

The Hunger Games actor posed with a Woolworths employee inside the south coast’s Kiama store on Friday, with evidence later being shared to Facebook where locals couldn’t contain their excitement.

“Great photo with a great bloke,” the employee, named Jamee, wrote.

“Liam Hemsworth this has made my day,” she added, followed by five love heart eye emojis.

The masked-up Hemsworth was dressed in a casual combo of grey shorts and a grey shirt for the snap, which has been liked more than 1,400 times in less than 24 hours.

“Lucky girl, I can see your smile even though you have a mask on,” one of more than 300 comments read.

“He probably thought he could sneak in unnoticed with the mask on, but not a chance,” another said.

“You lucky girl. I would of got a selfie too,” a third wrote.

Others said they too had been him in the same Woolworths recently, and one said they spotted him inside an IGA in Gerringong, about a 10 minute drive south.

The A-lister is believed to have a starring role in an action thriller being shot in the region, which is being directed by Crowe, according to the Illawarra Mercury.

Crowe is understood to also be starring in the movie, called Poker Face, by Arclight Films International.

The wife of Hemsworth’s brother Chris, Elsa Pataky, will feature as well.

The crew are expected to remain filming in Kiama until at least August 18, the publication reported.

Crowe revealed he was shooting in Kiama in a tweet posted on Tuesday.

“Shooting in Kiama. What a beautiful place,” he wrote, alongside a photo of the stunning coastline.

The area is just outside the cut-off of Greater Sydney where residents are subject to tight travel and movement restrictions.

A Police Covid blitz was underway on Friday in Bombo to stop people illegally travelling south into Kiama and beyond.
