The 50 Kohli scored against England in the semifinal was his fourth half-century of the ongoing edition of the T20 World Cup.
He is also the leading run-scorer of this edition of the T20 World Cup with 296 runs in six matches at a staggering average of 98.67 and strike rate of 136.41.
During his knock on Thursday, Kohli also achieved a unique century as he hit his 100th four in T20 World Cups.

Jayawardene had scored his 1016 runs in 31 innings, while Kohli crossed that mark in his 23rd innings in T20 World Cups.
Kohli was the top scorer of the T20 World Cup in 2014.
The former India captain began this edition of the World Cup with a memorable knock, when his sensational 82 not out earned the Men in Blue a famous win over archrivals Pakistan in their opening game of the tournament in Melbourne.
