T20 World Cup 2021: Sania Mirza to stay away from social media during India vs Pakistan clash – Here’s why

Indian tennis star player Sania Mirza has decided to stay away from social media on the India vs Pakistan match day. The arch-rivals will lock horns against each other in the opening game of their respective campaigns in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 on Sunday, October 24.

Sania Mirza posted a video on Instagram where she said that she would disappear from social media and toxicity on the day of the big clash. Sania, who has been married to Pakistan all-rounder Shoaib Malik has been subjected to trolls and online hate because of the same whenever the two sides play against each other.

Sania wrote in the clip, “Me disappearing from social media and toxicity on India vs Pakistan match day.”

Former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh, who has been part of several of these games in the past backed Sania’s decision and replied, “Good Idea.”

Both India and Pakistan had a winning start in the competition as they won their respective warm-up games against England and West Indies respectively.

Team India skipper Virat Kohli talking about the game said that he has always maintained that for the side it has always been just another game, while his Pakistan counterpart said that the men in green are confident of beating their neighbours in the high-voltage game.
