Satyaprem Ki Katha, starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani in titular roles, inched closer to the Rs 60 crore nett mark as it completed its second weekend at the domestic box office. The film saw a dip in box office numbers after recording a strong first-week collection of Rs 46.73 crore.
The film began its second weekend with a collection of Rs 2.50 crore on Friday and followed it up with a collection of Rs 4.50 crore on Saturday and Rs 5 crore Sunday.The total second-weekend collections are now estimated at Rs 12 crore, thus taking its overall total to an estimated Rs 58.73 crore.
Meanwhile, in a post shared by Kartik on social media, the film has grossed an estimated Rs 66.06 crore at the box office thus far.While at first, the film was looking at a Rs 100 crore finish, it is now aiming for an estimated Rs 70 crore nett finish. However, it will only be able to achieve this if it can continue to maintain its hold over the box office with the release of Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible 7 which releases in theatres this week.
It will face more competition at the box office with the release of the Hollywood films Oppenheimer and Barbie on July 21.
The musical romance drama had an early start at the box office, opening in theatres across the country on June 29. Directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Sameer Vidwans, the film also stars Gajraj Rao, Supriya Pathak, Rajpal Yadav, and Shikha Talsania.

It marks the second collaboration between Aaryan and Advani after 2022’s hit horror comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.
