Sanjay Dutt’s wedding wish for Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor comes true; couple announce pregnancy – Times of India

Alia took to Instagram on Monday morning to share the good news with her fans and friend. She shared a picture from her sonography appointment and captioned the image, “Our baby… Coming soon.”

The happy news comes just two months after the couple tied the knot on April 14. Ranbir and Alia wed in a private ceremony at their Bandra home in the presence of their friends and family.

Ahead of the wedding, actor Sanjay, who worked with both Alia and Ranbir, sent out a special wish for the couple. In an exclusive statement to BT, Dutt wished the couple the best for married life and said, “If Ranbir is getting married, I am really happy for him. Alia was literally born and brought up in front of me. Marriage is a commitment they are making to each other. And they have to stick by that, hold each other’s hands and move ahead in happiness, peace and glory. Make kids soon Ranbir, and stay happy!”

The actor was also asked for some piece of advice for the couple, to which he added, “It’s a matter of compromise from both ends. Rocky roads will come and go, but someone will have to bend. I would only advise them to assess the situation and be on the same page as for who needs to bend in the given circumstance at that time. With every curve in the road, they have to remember that the commitment they made to each other is very important and that is the key to keep moving ahead.”

After going public with their pregnancy, Alia and Ranbir’s friends from the industry, including Karan Johar, Rakul Preet Singh, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Tiger Shroff and Mouni Roy among many others took to the comment section to congratulate the couple.

Alia and Ranbir met on the sets of ‘Brahmastra’ in 2018 and began dating soon after. The film that marks the couple’s first on-screen collaboration is set for its release on September 9.
