Samantha had parted ways from Naga Chaitanya last year. Responding to the various reactions she faced after her separation, she had posted, “Your emotional investment into a personal crisis has overwhelmed me. Thank you all for showing deep empathy, and concern and for defending me against false rumours and stories that are being spread. They say I had affairs, never wanted children, that I’m an opportunist and now that I have had abortions. Divorce itself is an extremely painful process. Let me take time to heal. This attack on me personally has been relentless. But I promise you, I will never allow this or anything else they say, to break me.”
On the work front, Samantha was recently seen in ‘Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal’ in which she played Khatija Begum. She has wrapped up the shoot of her next Telugu film titled ‘Shaakuntalam’. Samantha is also busy filming for yet another women-oriented film ‘Yashoda’, and a romantic drama ‘Kushi’ with Vijay Deverakonda.
