Salman Khan teases Alia Bhatt and Sanjay Leela Bhansali about ‘Inshallah’ at Fimfare awards, amidst reports of Shah Rukh Khan replacing him – WATCH – Times of India

Alia Bhatt and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s collaboration in ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ created magic indeed as the film continues to be celebrated even now. It won several awards at the recently concluded Hyundai Filmfare Awards 2023. While Alia won the ‘Best Actress In A Leading Role’, Sanjay Leela Bhansali won the ‘Best Director’ trophy.
The show was hosted by Salman Khan and he made it as entertaining as possible. When the writer of ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’, Utkarshini Vashishtha went on stage to get her trophy for ‘Best Dialogues’, she thanked Alia as well. Utkarshini Vashishtha said, “I have to thank God for Alia’ and Salman in his quintessential funny way, said ‘Inshallah’, hinting at his shelved film with Bhansali.

Both Alia and Sanjay cracked up and couldn’t stop laughing. ‘Inshallah’ was announced a while ago – Salman and Alia were meant to star in it. However, the collaboration with Khan fell apart due to financial differences reportedly. Meanwhile, there are reports now that Shah Rukh Khan has replaced Salman in ‘Inshallah’ and the announcement will be made after he finishes shooting for ‘Dunki’ and ‘Jawan’ around June.

As per reports, Alia had signed four films with Bhansali including ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’.
