Though, as a mother, she couldn’t relate to it. She had said at an event, “I couldn’t fathom the idea of my daughter Adira being away from me. I can’t even deal with the idea, hence I had to play this role keeping in mind my mother and how she would react if me and my brother were taken away from her.”
Now in another interview, Rani has spoken about why she’s kept her daughter away from social media and the paparazzi. She said that while as of now, they think it’s important to protect her, but, once Adira grows, she will have a mind of her own and then they wouldn’t do what they’re doing with her now as parents.

Rani has also spoken about why Adira hasn’t seen her film ‘Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway’ yet. She had spoken in an exclusive chat with ETimes that, “She was there on the shoot but she’s not seen the film. She’s still very young and she can’t alienate me as an actor and me as a mother. So, if she sees me cry on screen, she will start crying, so Adira has not seen the film.”
