Raiders end complete choke-fest on MNF in the only appropriate way (Video)

The Las Vegas Raiders nearly choked the game away in overtime, but they defeated the Baltimore Ravens in the wildest way imaginable.

The Las Vegas Raiders thought they ended the game in overtime earlier on a Derek Carr pass to wide receiver Bryan Edwards. However, after being ruled down just short, the Raiders quarterback threw an interception in the end zone, seemingly giving the Baltimore Ravens life.

That all changed after defensive end Carl Nassib forced Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson to fumble. After deciding not to kick the game-winning field goal, Carr would hit a wide open Zay Jones downfield to give Las Vegas the 33-27 victory, ending quite possibly the craziest NFL game in recent memory.

Raiders win overtime thriller on gutsy touchdown pass from Derek Carr

There was no other way for this game to end. It is important to note that the Raiders feigned going for the field goal by sending out kicker Daniel Carlson. They took the delay of game penalty, and Carr pulled off the gutsy pass to Jones for the Week 1 victory.

Carr had himself quite the game on Monday night, as he completed 34-of-56 pass attempts for a staggering 435 yards and two touchdowns while throwing the overtime interception.

As for Jackson, the Ravens quarterback was a threat to the Raiders defense with his arm and his legs. Jackson recorded 19 completions for 235 yards and a touchdown while running for 86 yards on 12 carries. However, he did have two lost fumbles in the game, including the won that set up Las Vegas’ victory.

After playing a game of hot potato, it was the Raiders who emerged with victory in front of their fans at Allegiant Stadium. Las Vegas hits the road next week, where they face a Pittsburgh Steelers team that pulled off a huge win over the Buffalo Bills. The Ravens, on the other hand, look for their first win of the season next Sunday night as they host the Kansas City Chiefs in their home opener.
