In Pathaan, Nikhat Hegde plays the role of an Afghan woman, who blesses Shah Rukh Khan’s character when he rescues their village during his first mission in the film. Her character tells him that he will always remain one of them and it is through this blessing that the character played by Shah Rukh Khan gets the name Pathaan, which is also the title of the film. As an added touch, her character ties a sacred black band (tabeez) on Pathaan’s arm. This emotional scene received applause and whistles from the audience during the film’s screening. Fans have become even more excited learning that the actor playing this role is none other than Aamir Khan’s sister, Nikhat Hegde.
