OnePlus Buds Pro get a ‘special’ Lord of the Rings edition – Times of India

NEW DELHI: OnePlus launched its much-teased flagship smartphone — the OnePlus 10 Pro in China recently. Along with the high-end smartphone, the company also unveiled a new colour variant of its true wireless earbuds — OnePlus Buds Pro.
OnePlus has launched the new Mithril colour variant of the Buds Pro. For those unaware, Mithril is a shiny metal that is used to make shiny armours. The new colour variant comes with the same finish as the black and white variants and it has a matching colour rubber tip.
The company also reveals that it has made the earbuds using NCVM (non-conductive vacuum metallization) technology, which adds an extra and distinctive metallic effect to the device.
The true wireless earbuds also come with a fingerprint-resistant coating on the buds.
Apart from the looks, the company has not changed anything in the earbuds and they offer the same set to specifications.
Along with the new colour variant, OnePlus has also introduced a new Dual Connection feature. The company has started rolling out the feature as part of the 531.531.410 update. It is an incremental update and will soon reach all the OnePlus Buds Pro users.
This new feature enables the users to connect two devices to the buds simultaneously. Along with this, the feature will also enable users to automatically switch between devices.
OnePlus Buds Pro specifications
OnePlus Buds Pro features 11mm dynamic drivers and Dolby Atmos support. The OnePlus Buds Pro comes with the OnePlus Audio ID, a calibrated sound profile that customises each piece of music based on user-specific sound sensitivities. The OnePlus Buds Pro is also enabled with Zen mode that lets users choose from a list of white noise to reduce stress during activities like yoga or meditation, or even while trying to sleep.
The OnePlus Buds Pro has a claimed battery life of up to 38 hours on a full charge along with the charging case. With 10 minutes of Warp Charge, OnePlus claims that users can expect 10 hours of playtime. The OnePlus Buds Pro is also compatible with third-party Qi-certified wireless chargers.
The OnePlus Buds Pro true wireless earbuds offer Bluetooth v5.2 support and latency as low as 94ms with Pro Gaming mode turned on. The charging case is IPX4 water resistance rated, and the earbuds are IP55 certified.
