Nothing launches Phone (2) with improved cameras, design: Price, availability and other details – Times of India

After making quite a few heads turn with its Phone (1), Nothing has unveiled Phone (2) in India. This is the fifth product from the Carl Pei-led startup and Nothing continues to have a distinctive design philosophy. Nothing Phone (2) ups its glyph game and brings aboard a host of other new features.
Nothing Phone (2): Price and availability
The Phone (2) will be available in three RAM and storage variants — 8GB +128GB, 12GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 256GB. The price of the three variants is Rs 44,999, Rs 49,999 and Rs 54,999 respectively. All three smartphones will be available on Flipkart and select retail stores, starting July 21 in white and grey colour variants.

The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 + Gen 1 chipset. Nothing claims that the Phone ( 2 ) boasts an 80%
improvement in overall performance compared to Phone ( 1 ), which was powered by Snapdragon 778+.
The much-talked-about Glyph interface has also been tweaked and redesigned. Phone (2) has more LED segments and allows users to add more functionality and customise it more than Phone (1).
There’s a 6.7-inch OLED display with an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. The Phone (2) is backed by a 4700mAh battery. There’s no charging adapter but a brand new USB Type-C to Type-C cable in the box.
As expected the smartphone runs Nothing OS 2.0 based on Android 13. Nothing has also expanded its collection of widgets, which now come in swipeable views and animations so that users can have more information at a glance.
In terms of camera, Nothing Phone (2) has a similar setup in terms of megapixels — 50MP+50MP camera setup. The main sensor is a Sony IMX890. There is also an 18-bit ISP, which the company claims processes image data 4,000 times more than Phone (1). Phone (2) also has an advanced HDR algorithm that allows it to capture three times more data and also preserve more image details. AI-related camera features on the Phone (2) include Motion Capture 2.0, which provides better focus on moving subjects. Phone (2) can capture videos in 4K at 60fps on the main rear camera. There’s also an all-new Action mode in case you want to record on the move.
Phone (2) also comes with an upgraded 32MP selfie camera Furthermore, the selfie camera has been upgraded to a 32MP from a 16MP one on the Phone (1).
