NFL update: Ex-MVP Lamar Jackson requests trade from Baltimore Ravens

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has revealed that he requested a trade from the team. This came after Baltimore Ravens on March 7 had applied for non-exclusive franchise tag on Jackson because there was no long-term contract over the past two years.

“As of March 2nd, I requested a trade from the Ravens organization for which the Ravens has not been interested in meeting my value, any and everyone that’s has met me or been around me know I love the game of football and my dream is to help a team win the super bowl,” Jackson, former NFL Most Valuable Player, wrote on Twitter.

However, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh has claimed that he did not know about Jackson’s message.

Non-Exclusive Franchise Tag

Non-Exclusive Franchise Tag means Jackson can negotiate with other teams. However, the tag allows Ravens to match the deal within five days if the team management wants so.

On march 7, Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta claimed the he expected the both parties to sign a long-term deal.

Jackson currently does not have any agent.
