NFL divisional playoff schedule CONFIRMED: Cincinnati Bengals-Buffalo Bills game slated for Sunday

NFL divisional playoff schedule CONFIRMED: Blockbuster Cincinnati Bengals-Buffalo Bills game slated for Sunday 3pm ET, while New York Giants travel to Philadelphia Eagles on primetime Saturday night 8:15pm slot

The NFL Divisional playoff schedule is now officially set for next weekend after the finalization of Super Wild Card weekend.

Next weekend’s playoff slate will be headlines by a mouthwatering AFC matchup between the Cincinatti Bengals and the Buffalo Bills on Sunday at 3pm ET.

Both AFC teams have been considered amongst the Super Bowl candidates since before the season started and done nothing to dispel those thoughts thus far.

It is also a rematch of the unfinished game between the two teams on January 2, which was abruptly cancelled when Bills safety Damar Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest on the field.

NFL Divisional playoff schedule

Saturday, January 21

AFC: 4:30 PM (ET) Jacksonville Jaguars at Kansas City Chiefs (NBC, Peacock, Universo)

NFC: 8:15 PM (ET) New York Giants at Philadelphia Eagles (FOX, FOX Deportes)

Sunday, January 22

AFC: 3:00 PM (ET) Cincinnati Bengals at Buffalo Bills (CBS, Paramount+)

NFC: 6:30 PM (ET) Dallas/Tampa Bay at San Francisco 49ers (FOX, FOX Deportes)

The other AFC game will feature the conference champion Kansas City Chiefs going up against the Jacksonville Jaguars, following the Jaguars’ massive come-from-behind win against the Los Angeles Chargers.

That is slated as the first of the Divisional Playoff games, on Saturday January 21 at 4:30pm ET.

Depending on the results of the games, we may be set up for a rematch of last year’s Bills vs Chiefs matchup which lead to the NFL changing the overtime rules for the post season.

The NFC bracket, on the other hand, is currently set to be headlined by a rematch between two NFC East rivals in the Giants and the Eagles – who will be facing off for the third time this season.

They take the primetime Saturday night slot, with the game starting at 8:15pm ET.

The other NFC game will be decided Monday night when the Dallas Cowboys face off against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the winner of that game will travel to face the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday January 22 at 6:30pm ET.

Heading into the final game of Super Wild Card Weekend Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy may be coaching for his job as team owner and general manager Jerry Jones has been non-committal when it comes to his coach’s future.

Buccaneers coach Todd Bowles job was also considered to be on the hot seat heading into the playoffs, but reports have stated he will return to the team regardless of the outcome against Dallas.
