Sonam Kapoor is currently on cloud nine after welcoming her first child, a baby boy with her husband Anand Ahuja. The actress had shared her thoughts on becoming a parent before her delivery.

Talking about her decision to become a parent, Sonam told a fashion magazine that their priorities will change and the child will eventually become hers. The truth of the matter is that they didn’t choose to come into this world. You decided to bring them here, so it’s a very selfish decision, Sonam told Vogue in an interview.

Sonam took to her Instagram handle to share the news of the arrival of her baby boy through a sweet post that read, ‘On 20.08.2022, we welcomed our beautiful baby boy with bowed heads and hearts. Thank you to all of the doctors, nurses, friends and family who have supported us on this journey. It’s only the beginning but we know our lives are forever changed. – Sonam and Anand.’

Sonam and Anand dated for a couple of years before getting married in May 2018 in Mumbai. They had a star-studded wedding and reception.

On the work front, Sonam will next be seen the Shome Makhija’s film ‘Blind’. The film also features Vinay Pathak, Purab Kohli and Lilette Dubey in pivotal roles.
