Nakuul Mehta has confirmed that he will no longer be the part of Bade Acche Lagte Hain 2. Mehta, who played the role of Ram Kapoor has confirmed this in an interview. Mehat said, he had nothing new to offer to the show and that was one of the reasons he has decided to quit the serial.

Mehta when asked if he would miss playing the character of Ram Kapoor, he admitted that he would miss the serial and would miss playing the character.

The 39-year-old actor also emphasised that his journey has been a special one. Opening up during the interview, Mehta said that there were doubts about this series when it started as it was a remake of an iconic serial. He added there is nothing new which he can bring going ahead while the story is going places.

He further went on to say that he had ‘paid his dues’ to the creators of the serial Bade Acche Lagte Hain 2 and he believes that this is the right time for him to step away from the serial.

He said that the love he received while playing the role of Ram Kapoor tempted him to continue in the role.“

Mehta had recently received Best Actor- Television, Jury Award at the 22nd ITA Awards. The actor earlier caught the viewers attention when he played the role of Shivaay Singh Oberoi in Ishqbaaaz. Mehta also later worked in Dil Bole Oberoi.

Meanwhile, Bade Acche Lagte Hain 2 also features Disha Parmar in the lead. The series is a reboot version of Bade Acche Lagte Hain and is produced by Balaji Telefilms. The original version saw Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar sharing the screen as the lead pair.
