In a social media note, Nagarjuna wrote, “Had the privilege of watching Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha. A breath of fresh air! A film that goes more than surface deep. A film that stirs you from within!! Makes you laugh, cry, and ponder!! It comes with a simple message love and innocence conquer all!! Was wonderful to watch Naga Chaitanya grow as an actor. Director Advait Chandan, writer Atul Kulkarni and the team you just lift our spirits up!!”
Directed by Advait Chandan, ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ is adapted from Hollywood hit ‘Forrest Gump’. Naga Chaitanya essays the role of Aamir’s friend in the movie, while Kareena Kapoor Khan plays the role of his romantic partner in ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’. The film is slated for release on August 11 and will bank on the Raksha Bandhan holiday and August 15 extended weekend to cash in big money at the box office. Recently, Aamir had revealed that he is in no hurry to release the film on OTT. He ahd told IANS, “One of the reasons primarily I think the curiosity of going to theaters has reduced because films come on OTT right after they come in theaters, they come on OTT very fast. So I have always tried to keep a 6-month gap for my films. I don’t know what the industry follows, but I like to keep a 6-month gap. So that’s what I tried to do for all my films and up till now, we have managed that.”
