Mytheresa and Vogue Hosted a Very Palm Beach Dinner at The Colony Hotel

“It’s obvious that most of you are more than familiar with Mytheresa,” said Heather Kaminetsky, President North America at Mytheresa, speaking to her well-dressed guests sitting poolside at Palm Beach’s The Colony Hotel. “But for the few who aren’t, Mytheresa is no different than this wonderful hotel or Vogue—it’s the best of the best in one place.” In other words, a collaboration between Mytheresa, Vogue, and The Colony made perfect sense—and last night’s celebratory dinner was just the start.

Opening today is the Mytheresa x Vogue pop-up shop, located just off the de Gournay pink wallpapered, IG-famous lobby of the Palm Beach hotel institution, which was recently refreshed by interior designer Celerie Kemble. From March 1-5, locals and tourists alike can shop the Vogue-curated style suite, which is filled with a pretty standout collection of pieces. Think woven Loewe bags, sherbet-hued Emilio Pucci slides, cut-out swimsuits from Jade Swim. Those not in the area can still shop the edit online, here.

Guests at the dinner included Delfina Blaquier (in a flowy polka-dotted frock by Caroline Constas), Georgina Bloomberg (in a classic LBD), and Kaminetsky’s co-hosts The Colony’s Sarah Wetenhall, and Vogue’s Lilah Ramzi. Also in attendance were Vogue editors Julie Tong, Maddy Fass, and Alexis Bennett, along with Simon Doonan, Jonathan Adler, Liz Lange, Denisa Palsha, Samantha Angelo, Larry Milstein, Isaac Boots, and his pup Davis.

Cocktails began at 6:30 pm, just as the sun began to set. Some of the guests were fresh from Milan Fashion Week; others had made the trek from Miami. The rest were lucky locals or snowbirds who spend their winters on the well-manicured island. But no matter their commute, everyone was incredibly (and perhaps unsurprisingly) well-dressed. Slinky Christopher Esber dresses intermingled with Mara Hoffman’s popcorn sheaths.

Dinner was served at 7 pm, beneath a canopy of greenery at two long tables dotted with floral arrangements featuring sweetpeas, peonies, and ranunculi. On the menu, by chef Tom Whitaker, were a play on a surf and turf and an absolutely delightful chocolate mousse. “There’s a yellow card at each place setting,” said Ramzi, in a toast to all the attendees at the start of dinner. “You’ll see that each of you have a credit in your name waiting for you at the pop-up, so you must come back to shop!” Turns out the offer was one that was hard to resist—some took it up a little sooner than anticipated. Following dinner, a group of guests made their way to the not-yet-opened Mytheresa x Vogue pop-up shop to pick up a few necessities. After all, the Palm Beach-set knows that fashion stops for no one!
