Moushumi Chatterjee takes a dig at today’s actors, says earlier heroes would look like heroes | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Moushumi Chatterjee is known for many Hindi movies in the 70s and 80s – from ‘Swarg Narak’, Maang Bharo Sajna’, ‘Pyaasa Sawan‘, ‘Roti Kapda Aur Makaan’ apart from her long body of work even in Bengali Cinema. Chatterjee was also appreciated for her pairing with many Hindi cinema heroes, right from Amitabh Bachchan to Jeetendra. The actress will be appearing on ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ this weekend along with another veteran actor Reena Roy.
In the recently released promo of the show, one can see that the actress takes a dig at the current lot of actors. She said, “Pehle ke hero ko aapko bolna nahi padta tha ki ye hero hai, dikhta tha ki hero hai. Abhi toh baaju mein ho aur poocho hero kaun hai, toh dusra bolega, ‘chup, baaju mein hi toh hai’ (Earlier, you need not ask who is the hero as it was quite evident from the looks itself. Today, you won’t recognise a hero even if he is standing next to you)”
Her statement left everyone in splits. The veteran actress also pulled Kapil’s leg. She also made Kiku Shardha and Krushna Abhishek forget their lines with her wit and humourous one-liners. Krushna was mimicking Jeetendra and Moushumi just shut him up. He ended up bowing down to her.
Later, when Kapil asked her who among her heroes did the best romance on-screen, she laughed and said, nobody knew how to do it. When questioned who would flirt the most in those times, she gave her own name. Her witty replies and flamboyance, left everyone surprised!
Moushami was also seen in ‘Piku‘ in recent time and loved for her quirky character. Her banter with Amitabh Bachchan’s character was also loved in this Shoojit Sircar movie.
