Mithun stated that he wouldn’t call them struggling daysbecause according to him, a lot of kids might lose hope. The actor said that everyone struggles but his struggling has been so much that he has come from the footpath, literally.He revealed that there have been many days he spent in Bombay where he would sleep in Five Garden. Sometimes he would sleep outside a hostel. Once even one of his friends got him a membership at Matunga Gymkhana so she could use the facilities in the morning.

Elaborating further, the veteran star added that he didn’t even know where he would get his next meal from. And where he would sleep. The actor also stated that he did not want to “break the hearts of those who are struggling, because people might lose hope after listening to this.”

When asked if he ever lost hope during his tough times, the actor said that there was a time when he thought he wouldn’t be able to do it. He even contemplated suicide at one point. However, he added that he could not go back to Calcutta because of his political background and he couldn’t do anything here.
Not many know that Mithun Chakraborty came from a Naxalite background.
