Singer Miley Cyrus had fans around the globe worried after her plane was forced to make an emergency landing after getting struck by lightning.

According to reports, the star was travelling to Paraguay to headline a festival, but she had to cancel her plans after her plane was forced to land and routed to safety.

Besides sharing a clip of the wing of the plane getting struck by lightning, Miley also tweeted to inform fans about her safety. “To my fans and everyone worried after hearing about my flight to Asunción. Our plane was caught in a major unexpected storm and struck by lightning,” Cyrus wrote on social media.

With a broken heart emoticon, the singer also added, “My crew, band, friends and family who were all travelling with me are safe after an emergency landing. We were, unfortunately, unable to fly into Paraguay. I LOVE YOU.”

According to the festival’s website, Asunciónico is “one of Paraguay’s largest rock festivals” typically held every March. Local reports say Cyrus’ performance was expected to draw a big crowd.

Cyrus got the show on the road by performing in South America. Over the weekend, the pop star attended the Lollapalooza Argentina and Lollapalooza Chile where she brought the house down with an electrifying performance to some some of her biggest hits.
