She felt the need to share the news with her ‘family’ (referring to her audience) first, as they have been part of her journey and she is grateful to them.
Menounos and Undergaro have been transparent about their efforts to start a family, which have spanned a decade. They have tried various methods, including medical procedures and even hanging Menounos upside down, all to no avail. The couple will be welcoming their baby through surrogacy.

Menounos’ mother passed away from stage 4 brain cancer in May 2021. In her announcement on Instagram, she expressed sadness about not being able to share the news with her mother in person but believes that her mother, from the other side, played a role in making this happen.
