Make in India: Dizo set to announce manufacturing deal with Optiemus Electronics – Times of India

Dizo, the first partner under Realme TechLife ecosystem, is in talks with Delhi-based Optiemus Electronics Limited (OEL) to manufacture its products in India. According to sources, both the companies are close to signing a manufacturing deal and may announce the partnership soon. Optiemus Electronics is the wholly-owned arm of Optiemus Infracom. Optiemus started its journey as a retailer and distributor of Nokia handsets in the year 1995. Today, OEL claims to offer design-focused solutions in consumer hearable/wearables, IOT, tablets/laptops, and medical devices to customers across the country, along with refurbishment and repairing services for mobile phones, set-top boxes, cables, etc. Dizo entered the Indian market in May 2021 with its affordable TWS earbuds. The company’s product categories include smart entertainment, smarthome, smartcare and accessories.
It is not clear if the tie-up will be across Dizo’s product range or cover certain categories only. Dizo has been looking to start manufacturing in India for quite some time now. The company’s first-ever feature phones by Dizo, Dizo Star series, were manufactured in India.
Counterpoint Research Q2, 2022 smartwatch shipment report ranks Dizo among the top 5 smartwatches brands for the second consecutive quarter.The research company also names Dizo among the fastest-growing and emerging TWS and neckband brands in India.
Dizo has launched over 30 products including some smartwatches, earbuds and neckbands. The company recently announced its first-ever calling smartwatch Dizo Watch R Talk that supports Bluetooth calling.
