Last month, there was massive buzz about Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kiara Advani reuniting for a new project. The duo had been reportedly approached by ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’ director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari.
Kareena and Kiara shared the frame in 2019 release ‘Good Newwz’ and are speculated to have shown interest in Ashwiny’s project. When ETimes asked Ashwinyabout the movie, she updated, “Time will tell.Time will tell. We’ll announce everything through time.” This project is said to be backed by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhawani’s Excel Entertainment.
Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari is currently flying high on the success of her OTT production venture ‘Tarla’ and her next venture ‘Bawaal’, which she has co-written and produced, will soon release on a streaming platform. Speaking about the Varun Dhawan and Jahnvi Kapoor starrer, Ashwiny shared, “, ‘Bawaal’ is a relationship story. it’s about our experiences and about certain life lessons, which we have learnt in post-COVID times and how history teaches us a lot of things too.”
Nitesh Tiwari has credited his wife for ideating ‘Bawaal’. Revealing the inspiration behind the movie, Ashwiny added, “Bawal’s idea was there with me for a very long time. It is very close to my heart because, because it was something which, as an anecdote, came from Nitesh’s dad’s experience, who’s no more. I was supposed to take him to Germany because he is a history buff and was a history teacher. And he was also the education head of the department in MP state. And I always realized that because of circumstances, he didn’t have the time was to travel the world and see what he taught. So, we were almost going to Germany because he always wanted to see the places he had always thought about. And we got our visas and everything done, but he fell sick. So I could not take him. So, that always stayed in my mind.”
