Just three Manchester City stars continue Treble celebrations on Sunday night

Manchester City’s Treble victory celebrations continued on Sunday night – but just Kevin De Bruyne, Ilkay Gundogan and Stefan Ortega had the stamina to hit the town.

The trio went to Tattu Restaurant in Manchester to join some of the club’s training and backroom staff hours after arriving back from Istanbul having won the Champions League.

After what appeared to be all-night celebrations on Saturday after their 1-0 win over Inter Milan, just a handful of the City players kept going with most recovering at home.

De Bruyne, who went off injured in the final, attended with wife Michele, arriving at 9.30pm and leaving just before midnight, while Gundogan arrived at around the same time.

Goalkeeper Ortega, who played City’s domestic cup games, also went to the celebration at the Chinese restaurant.

Tattu’s menu includes a £74.50 per person sharing option featuring caramel soy aged beef fillet, red snapper tom yum, aromatic crispy duck pancakes and seven spiced seared tuna.

For £99.50, guests cane indulge in a menu of Japanese black wagyu, Shanghai black cod and dim sum, with desserts including a white chocolate dragon egg made of coconut, passionfruit and mango.

City’s celebrations after completing the Treble by adding the Champions League to the Premier League and FA Cup will continue on Monday with an open-top bus parade through Manchester.

Pep Guardiola and his squad will depart from Tonman Street, Deansgate, at approximately 6.30pm.

The bus will take a route through St Mary’s Gate, Cross Street and King Street before finishing on the corner of Princess Street and Portland Street.

A live stage show will take place on Oxford Street, with entertainment from 5.30pm, and the players will take to the stage at about 7.30pm.

City flew home from Turkey on Sunday afternoon to be greeted by flag-waving fans at Manchester Airport.

The players posed for pictures with the European Cup on their flight, with the trophy even making its way up to the pilots in the cockpit.

Jack Grealish, who seemingly stayed in his match kit during Saturday’s all-nighter having sung to Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Everywhere’ in the dressing room, was seen making use of the intercom on board.

Having arrived back at their hotel from the Ataturk Stadium at 3am, City’s players, staff and their families partied beyond dawn.

Grealish led the celebrations, held on an open-air terrace at the JW Marriott hotel in Istanbul, where rooms cost £1,600 a night.

The England star could be seen rapping as a DJ played thumping disco music in the background.

As dawn broke at around 4.30am, a video clip showed the players still going strong as they celebrated their historic achievement.

TV screens with the caption ‘Champions Of Europe 2022/23’ were also dotted around the venue with the celebrations going on until 8.30am.

A source said: ‘It was a wild night, and everyone was in high spirits. Who can blame them? The team had just won the Champions League so they deserved a party.

‘Jack was the star of the show DJing and singing until the sun was up and high in the sky. It was almost 9am before the players started to drift back to their rooms.’

The party is thought to have cost £100,000 but would have been small change to Man City’s billionaire owner Sheikh Mansour – who was in the crowd on Saturday night attending only his second game since taking over the club in 2008 – his first time in 13 years.

The players only snatched three hours sleep before they boarded the coach for their flight back to Manchester on an Etihad airways plane painted in the club’s blue and white colours.

Grealish could be seen with his head poking out of a window on the roof of the bus as fans clapped and cheered as they left.

Erling Haaland posted a picture of himself on his Instagram smoking a huge cigar while later he shared one of him and Grealish with blue face paint adding: ‘Love this guy.’

After the game on Saturday night, wives and girlfriends had come onto the pitch at the Olympic Stadium to share in the wild celebrations.
