Jr NTR on his Oscars 2023 appearance: Not going to walk the red carpet as an actor from Indian film industry, I’m going to walk as an Indian – Times of India
Come Monday, fans of actor Jr NTR will see the star walking the Oscar red carpet with his ‘RRR’ team including director SS Rajamouli and co-star Ram Charan.
Ahead of the big day, Jr NTR was spotted at the studios where he shared his excitement about attending the Academy Awards. He told Entertainment Tonight, “For that day, I don’t think we’re going to walk the carpet as actors of ‘RRR’. I am not going to walk as an actor from the Indian film industry, I’m going to walk as an Indian, with pride filled in my heart and carrying my nation in my heart.”
When asked how it felt having the title ‘Academy Award nominee’ to his many accolades, JR NTR simply laughed it off saying, “What else could an actor ask for? What more could a filmmaker ask for?”

NTR Jr landed in the US this week to attend the 95th Academy Awards and he was pleasantly surprised to receive a warm welcome from his fans. Interacting with the bunch that gathered at the airport, NTR said, “I love you more than you guys love me. You’re all my brother though we are not related by blood. Our relationship is stronger than any blood relationship. I’m indebted to you.”
The actor arrived in time for the award show, where ‘RRR’ is nominated in the Best Original Song category.
This is the first time that Deepika will also walk the Oscar red carpet and present an award at the show. Fans will likely get a peek of DP and her celebrity partner for the awards night when she takes the stage during the practice round held before the big day.
The annual awards show will be held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California on Sunday night (Monday 6.30 am IST).
