‘John Wick Chapter 4’ box office collection day 2: The Keanu Reeves starrer sees a growth on Saturday – Times of India

Keenu Reeves starrer ‘John Wick Chapter 4’ released on Friday and it had some paid previews a day early and it had a much higher opening than any of its three franchises. The numbers which it recorded on Friday were 9 crore including the paid previews.
But it further saw a strong growth on Saturday as it made 9 crore as per trade website boxofficeindia.com. This takes the film’s collection to 17.5 crore nett. It is expected that the film will have similar collections on Sunday, just like Saturday and one can expect a good 26 crore plus weekend from it which is quite good.

This weekend trend only means that this film can emerge the first hit film from Hollywood outside the Marvel franchise and ‘Avatar’ post the pandemic. However, a lot will depend on Monday as it remains to see if the film continues to hold well through the week days. If it remains steady, it will be a hit.
On the international front, the movie collected a good $30 million collection on Day 1. According to Deadline, this is easily the best opening day ever for a John Wick movie. In India, this film is certainly giving competition to the Bollywood releases from which ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’ is still doing much better than the newer releases.
