Jake Paul takes a dig at arch-rival Tommy Fury’s physique and likens him to The Incredible Hulk

‘Three days until I fight The Incredible Hulk!’: Jake Paul takes a dig at arch-rival Tommy Fury’s physique after pictures emerge of the Brit ‘in the best shape of his life’ ahead of Sunday night’s grudge match in Saudi Arabia

Jake Paul continued to stoke the fire ahead of his Sunday grudge match with Tommy Fury in Saudi Arabia by poking fun of his physique in a recent photo.

Having undergone a training camp to be fit for the fight against the Youtuber-turned-boxer, Fury posed for photos showing off his fitness ahead of the bout.

But rather than being impressed by his opponent’s lean look, Paul instead made fun of his nemesis, likening him to Marvel superhero the Incredible Hulk.

The pair at last faced off at a pre-fight press conference in Saudi Arabia, with sparks expected ahead of their long-awaited clash.

The American seized the opportunity to land a further verbal blow against his opponent by replying to a tweet from Top Rank Boxing, which declared that Fury had shown up to the fight ‘in the best shape of his life’.

The iconic Marvel character is famous for his super-human form, with Paul perhaps sarcastically insinuating that he is not intimidated by his opponent.

While the vast majority of fights are now accompanied by long verbal exchanges on social media, Paul’s showdown with Fury has been several years in the making.

Paul has repeatedly jabbed at Fury over his decision not to attend pre-fight press conferences, claiming that he has done the majority of the promotional work for the event.

The Brit has recently become a father after his partner Molly-Mae Hague gave birth to their daughter, Bambi.

But Fury has himself insisted that the Youtuber will ‘feel’ every sacrifice that he has made in the run-up to the fight to ensure that he comes out on top.

‘But I’ve made a lot of sacrifices, without going into detail. Those sacrifices will come out on the night, and Jake Paul will feel every single one of them.’

‘I’m ready to go,’ he continued. ‘There’s no more training I could possibly do. I’ve left no stone unturned, from the sparring to the road works, strength and conditioning, diet – everything’s been on point. I’m just ready to go out there, perform and show everyone this is a one-horse race.’

The fight was twice cancelled with Fury unable to compete after being denied entry into the US and latterly suffering a broken rib and an infection that ruled him out of contention.

However the two will finally see their rivalry transition from Twitter to the canvas in Sunday’s highly-anticipated event in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia.

The fight has also faced criticism for the WBC’s proposal to rank Paul if he should beat Fury – a professional fighter with an 8-0 record, with four knockouts to his name.

Heavyweight Dereck Chisora – who recently fought Fury’s half-brother Tyson – has been outspoken in his scathing assessment of the decision, claiming WBC fighters should refuse to fight ‘for it anymore’.

‘Do you know what, if he gets a ranking with the WBC, I personally think everybody in the WBC should come out of the rankings and be in another federation,’ he said.

‘Everyone should just drop the WBC and say, “I’m not fighting for it anymore”. That’s not fair. There’s other boxers who have been slaving themselves, making weight, fighting and because he’s boxed two fighters they give him a WBC ranking? No, it’s unfair.

‘If they do that, I urge everyone in the WBC rankings – drop the belts, who cares? Belts do not pay the bills for most fighters. As Mike Tyson says, it’s garbage. Most of it is garbage to be honest with you.
