Jackie Shroff recalls the time he punched Anil Kapoor during the ‘Yudh’ shoot, says Gulshan Grover was crying | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Jackie Shroff and Anil Kapoor are one of the hit on-screen teams from the late 80s. The duo have done a number of films together – from ‘Ram Lakhan‘ to ‘Parinda’. They share a great friendship till date. In a recent interview, Jackie got nostalgic and recalled and incident when he actually punched Anil during the shoot of their film ‘Yudh‘.
The ‘Hero’ star said in an interview that ‘Gulshan Groverro raha tha (Gushan Grover was crying once)’.Jackie shared that Anil was so committed during his shoots and would want a scene to be so real, that he would actually hit his co-stars during shoots. He would also apologise later. So when Gulshan came crying to Jackie, the actor decided to have some fun and later, he punched Anil for real during ‘Yudh’ shoot.
But here’s what Jackie did then. After punching him, he immediately started praising Anil and said to him that he’s looking so strong and handsome. Shroff further admitted that he considers Anil a more skilled actor than himself, hence he doesn’t even mind if he has more screen time.
Jackie further added that he’s very flexible. If someone else has more screen time than him, then he’s okay with it. He says he got to learn a lot from Anil because he was his senior. While, it doesn’t look like that, Anil is Jackie’s senior. ‘He still looks like my Lakhan,’ said Jackie. He further lauded him and said Anil is so serious with his work that Jackie automatically starts looking serious while sharing screen space with him.
Anil and Jackie are rumoured to share screen space again in a film produced by Subhash Ghai and written by Anees Bazmee.
