It is Kangana Ranaut versus Tiger Shroff THIS Dusshera as Tejas gears up to clash with Ganapath | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Kangana Ranaut is on a roll! She recently announced ‘Chandramukhi 2’ with Raghava Lawrence and her next film ‘Tejas‘ has finally got a release date. After several delays and a long wait, this action entertainer is scheduled to hit the screens on October 20, 2023. Kangana announced the release date today, revealing that the film will hit the screens on the festive occasion of Dussehra.Interestingly, Kangana’s directorial ‘Emergency’ was scheduled to arrive in theatres on this very date, but it has made way for ‘Tejas’.
‘Tejas’ takes inspiration from the Indian Air Force’s landmark decision to allow women in combat roles in 2016 and features Kangana in the role of an Air Force Officer. Interestingly, the film was supposed to release last year on the occasion of Dusshera, but it was delayed for multiple reasons, from VFX work to a good date in the calendar. The film is written and directed by Sarvesh Mewara.
Sticking to its date with Dussehra, ‘Tejas’ will now clash with Tiger Shroff starrer ‘Ganapath – Part 1’. Directed by Vikas Bahl, this action entertainer features Kriti Sanon as the leading lady with Amitabh Bachchan essaying a pivotal part. The makers of ‘Ganapath – Part 1’ had long ago booked Dusshera for its release and it will be interesting to see if either of them decides to back out. With two big budget action flicks arriving on the same date, they are sure to eat into each other’s business. Also, both Kangana and Tiger haven’t had a great run at the box office in recent times and looks like both the actors will be looking to improve their game this Dussehra and cement their position at the box office.
