Instagram may soon allow users to reply to Stories using audio. The company is reportedly working on a feature to allow users to reply to Stories with voice messages. The upcoming feature has been spotted by Alessandro Paluzzi, a developer who reverse engineers apps to find upcoming new features. Paluzzi has shared a screenshot from Instagram Stories with a microphone icon in the field for story replies and says that Insta “is working on the ability to reply to Stories with voice messages.” This comes just days after the Meta-owned platformed allowed users to reply to posts privately. The voice messages feature will give users another option to send personal messages on Instagram.

The feature, when goes live, appears to be similar to Snapchat that too allows users to reply to Stories with voice messaging. There is no other information available about this, which means no set or expected timeline.
Meanwhile, as per Paluzzi Instagram is also testing a new feed. The company is reportedly testing a fully-integrated home feed that will do away with the top Stories bar, and present everything in an immersive, full-screen, swipeable UI.
