Inside Bruna Marquezine’s Stunning Trip to Paris and Givenchy’s Front Row

Bruna Marquezine knows her fashion. The Brazilian star has become a front row regular and renowned for her personal style. Still, she was struck by Matthew M. Williams’s first live runway show for Givenchy. “It was much more than a show; it was an immersive and sensorial experience,” she shared post-event. “The venue, the soundtrack, and the atmosphere that he created to present the collection was extremely bold [yet] sensible at the same time.”

Marquezine is especially drawn to Williams’s mix of streetwear and romanticism, which mirrors her own taste. “I love the contrasts,” she explains. “The lightness of [the collection’s] flowing dresses, ruffles, and micro pleats mixed with the impeccable tailoring. One of my favorites was the black cut-out trousers with twisted straps white top.” The piece, worn by model Africa Garcia, seems destined to make the street style rounds once it hits stores. Marquezine understands why; Givenchy can instantly make its wearers feel, in her words, “confident, sexy, and edgy.”

Of course, no trip to Paris would be complete without enjoying the city itself. Though she’s familiar with the non-stop pace of fashion week, Marquezine wanted to reconnect with the city’s simple pleasures. Her first visit since the COVID-19 pandemic began, the trip allowed her to appreciate every moment. “During the last fashion week I attended, I promised myself that next time I would have a more flexible schedule to enjoy the city,” she says. “After two years through a pandemic, I am so happy to finally meet old friends, make new ones, and rediscover Paris.”

Here, the star takes Vogue along for her full Givenchy experience.
