IND VS SA: Not-so-good news for Indian fans as BCCI issues latest update on weather in Centurion
It seems the Indian cricket fans will have to wait for a little longer to see their beloved team take on South Africa on Day 2 of the first Test. Rain has continued to pour down since Monday morning in Centurion, and as per BCCI’s latest post, the weather is still not clear.
BCCI tweeted about the same, writing that it’s gone even darker at the SuperSport Park which is certainly not good news for Indian cricket fans.
“It’s pouring at SuperSport Park Cloud, It’s gotten darker as well as the ground remains under covers,” read the tweet by BCCI.

It has been a rainy day at Centurion on Monday and with play scheduled to begin from 1:30 PM IST, the weather has continued to play spoilsport and delay’s India’s quest to win a Test series on South African soil.
Meanwhile, earlier on Day 1, India got off to a flying start after skipper Virat Kohli won the toss and decided to bat first. Openers KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal began brilliantly and put up a century stand through their partnership before Lungi Ngidi removed Mayank. The South African pacer would scalp two more wickets as the day progressed, but his compatriots were not so effective on Sunday.
Rahul meanwhile, smashed his seventh Test century, a sixth ton that’s come away from home, and he was ably supported by Ajinkya Rahane (40* off 81) as they helped India to a commanding score of 272/3 at stumps on Day 1.
As it continues to pour down heavily in Centurion, the play has been delayed a lot, as fans wait for a positive update on the weather.
