Ingredients required for Idli Batter1 cup rice flour
1 cup urad dal flour
½ cup poha
Salt to taste
1 tsp curd
½ cup water
1 tsp fruit salt
2 tbsp onion (chopped)
2 tbsp curry leaves
5-6 tomatoes (chopped)

Ingredients required for Idli Podi Masala

1 tbsp coconut oil
1/2 cup chana dal
1/2 cup urad dal
1/4 cup white sesame seeds
20 whole red chillies
1/2 tsp asafoetida
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt

Method
1. To make Idli in Hyderabadi style, first of all, put poha in a jar and make a fine powder out of it. Now mix rice and urad dal flour in it well. Add 1 tsp salt, curd and water to make its batter. Leave it like this for a few minutes.

2. Till then prepare the podi masala. Heat one spoon of oil in a pan and grind chana dal and urad dal in it. When it starts to turn golden, add sesame seeds and whole red chillies to it. After turning off the gas, add asafoetida to it.

3. To make instant Idli batter, add fruit salt to it. Now, heat a flat pan or tawa on the stove with 2-3 tbsp oil. Fry chopped onions, curry leaves and green chillies on it till they turn golden. When it turns golden, add chopped tomatoes to it. Add two spoons of Podi masala to it. Now, divide this spice into four parts.

4. Pour a scoop of Idli batter on top of each block of masala. Now, close it by covering the lid and wait till it puffs up. You have to cook it for four to five minutes. Similarly, turn it over and cook it from the other side as well. You can make it as crispy as you like. Garnish it with coriander and serve it hot with chutney.
