As the world waits to see what bride-of-the-moment Nicola Peltz will wear on her wedding day to Brooklyn Beckham, we can reveal the details of her bridal skin-care prep: Peltz has enlisted the help of facialist Lena Bratschi, of Carasoin in Los Angeles, to help her achieve a glowing complexion ahead of her big day.
“I’ve taken care of Nicola for nearly 10 years now, and also look after several of her family members, including her mum, who is just as stunning,” Bratschi tells Vogue. “Nicola was still a teenager when I first met her, so it’s been so beautiful to watch her grow as a person and an artist.” Bratschi is a Hollywood favorite for her hands-on-meets-high-tech facials, and counts everyone from Ashley Graham to Eva Mendes as clients.
Having begun her career in Switzerland, which is known for its world-class spas, Bratschi’s approach to skin care is a marriage of innovative beauty tech and more familiar facial techniques. “I think it’s a combination of new technology and traditional techniques that gives the best results,” she says.
After a long spell on set (Peltz is set to star in Lola Girl, which comes out later this year), and with a jam-packed, travel-heavy schedule, Bratschi’s mission was to “restore her natural glow and rebalance the skin to its perfect best.”
“My dear friend and renowned makeup artist, Kate Lee, is doing her makeup on the day, so I just want to give the best canvas possible for her to work her magic,” Bratschi says.
In the last few months, the bride-to-be has had a more rigorous schedule of treatments, but this week Bratschi has also set up a spa in Peltz’s Palm Beach home to ensure she and her family are well taken care of (and looking luminous) for the wedding. “I use a mix of everything from microcurrent to give a subtle sculpting effect, to Carasoin LED therapy, which helps build collagen and balances the skin,” Bratschi says. “Plus oxygen infusion to hydrate and nourish, and cryogenic stem cells to help promote healthy cell regeneration.” Her treatments also include manual techniques that range from lymphatic drainage and facial muscle stimulation to pressure point massage—perfect to ease out any tension or pre-wedding anxiety.
