NEW DELHI: Honor recently confirmed that it will soon launch its first foldable smartphone — Honor Magic V soon. The company earlier confirmed that the upcoming foldable phone will be powered by Qulacomm’s most-powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. Now rumours suggest that Honor V is said to launch on January 10. The company is expected to reveal the launch details soon.
In an official video, Honor CEP George Zhao revealed that the company has defined a new series of folding screen products. The foldable smartphone from Honor is expected to come with a structural desing and the company claims that it will be the best folding screen smartphone in the market.
Zhao also said that Honor V will house a complex hinge technology. He further added that the company will also make some software level optimisation for the smartphone.
Honor Magic V rumoured specs
Honor Magic V is expected to feature an 8-inch internal display. It will feature a resolution of 2200×2480 pixels. It is rumoured to pack 8GB RAM with an internal storage capacity of 256GB.
On the camera front, the handset may come with a 108MP camera with 9:1 pixel binning. This means it will be able to deliver 12MP images when the environment is less than ideal for taking photographs.
Other sensors that may be available on the phone are an ultra-wide lens and a telephoto camera. At the front, the foldable phone may be equipped with a 16MP camera for selfies.
The device is expected to house a 4,500mAh battery. Honor Magic V may run on Android 11 operating system.
